London Deckers |
 |
 |
While the debate
amongst enthusiasts rages about bendibuses v. Routemasters, London bus
companies have been quietly getting on with doubledecker fleet
replacement. This has seen new and varied species of deckers
hitting the London streets over the past couple of years. Most
spectacular has been the new Alexander/Dennis Enviro 400 (above right)
followed closely by the Omni Scania (below middle).
Wright bodied Geminis continue to be delivered on Volvo chassis (above
left, lower right) and now DAF (below left). The
Dennis Trident of course remains one of the dominant vehicles mainly
bodied by Alexander but there are also a few East Lancs examples (right). |
