November 2002 Stranraer Day Tours Western supply vehicles for P&O day tours.   Seen at Cairnryan returning from a trip to Loudoun Castle (near Ayr) are Western 133 (UM7681) and 183 (283URB). During the winter months many of the local operators around Stranraer have coaches sat at the back of depots waiting patiently for something to happen.   When summer arrives they get their big chance and are employed on day tours, operated by Stena Line at Stranraer (for ferry passengers from Belfast) and P&O at Cairnryan (for passengers from Larne).   There is enough business for 11 coaches from four operators as can be seen below. King provide some local bus services in Wigtownshire, as well as coaches like H195DVM for day tours from Belfast. McCulloch's rather elderly Volvo/Plaxton VJI5880, was the last vehicle to return each evening. Ulsterbus 677 (SXI1677) at Stranraer ferry terminal, depositing passengers from M&D Theme Park.
