Red Funnel Raptors
Red Funnel Ferries introduced their three Raptor class vessels onto the Southampton to Isle of Wight service in the mid 1990's.   Constructed at Fergusons shipyard in Port Glasgow (right) they were originally designed with one main car deck (above left).   However a couple of years ago they were all modified in Poland to have an additional car deck (above right).   Along with Wightlink ferries they continue to provide the only vehicular access to the Isle of Wight from the mainland.
