Stranraer and sunny Loch Ryan (to be precise). Top:
Stena Caledonia arrives at Stranraer pier as HSS Stena Voyager
leaves for Belfast; upper left: Stena Caledonia at Stranraer;
upper middle: European Causeway enters Loch Ryan before
docking at Cairnryan; upper right: HSS Stena Voyager passes Corsewall Lighthouse on its way to Belfast; above left and right:
European Highlander passes Corsewall Lighthouse (seen from
inside) heading for Larne. Below: the final member of
the Loch Ryan fleet is P&O Express which operates in the summer
only, seen here leaving Cairnryan in August 2005; Corsewall Lighthouse is
now an exclusive hotel with comfortable accommodation and fine dining. |

Set on
the quayside at Portpatrick is The AA Seafood Pub of Scotland for
2004-2005 - The Crown Hotel. There is a good mix of fish from
the menu, and from the specials, many of which are caught
locally. Featured above is Skate Wings from Luce Bay. |
